In late May 2026, X became a hot topic after users reported seeing a blue badge superimposed on the profile pictures of accounts without verification, along with a prompt encouraging them to sign up for one. I couldn’t confirm this myself—possibly due to a ghost ban—but I created this satirical piece based on those reports.

Initially, I considered featuring someone associated with X, but I couldn’t find a fitting figure. I ultimately chose Optimus, the bipedal humanoid robot being developed by Tesla, where Elon Musk serves as CEO.

I also debated where to place the verification badge in the image. To add a layer of irony—playing on Musk’s unconventional “vision”—I placed it over the eye.
